Job Purpose

Design, develop, and/or integrate proven solutions to application problems for vast portfolio of commercial customers. Troubleshoot system administration issues or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Build physical and virtual servers and physical workstations with and without previously defined images or templates.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Server administration and troubleshooting on full OSI layer .
• Manage existing Microsoft Azure and Active Directory environments.
• Install/Maintain virtual infrastructures.
• Server hardware maintenance and architecture
• Create and manage existing customer environments in Azure
• Manage hot fixes / standard patches for Windows servers and workstations.
• Provide storage and server level administration.
• Execute business processes (e.g. service level agreements, hand off from engineering to operations, support requests).
• Update and maintain documentation pertaining to internal engineering processes.
• Provide escalation support for operations issues off the help desk.
• Utilize scripts to increase productivity and implement automation for repetitive tasks in operations.

Qualifications

Desired qualifications include:

• Experience work for an MSP, utilizing a PSA and RMM Tools.
• Experience with standardized builds of virtualization and migrating bare metal infrastructure to virtualized environments.
• Experience building images a plus.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016. Active Directory, GPO, IIS, DNS, DHCP, DFS/R, Microsoft Certificate Authority, Essentials.
• Experience with Microsoft Cloud Products

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to travel onsite in Texas and out of State as necessary. Less than 5% travel
• Ability to provide guidance and direction to lower level technicians, specialists, managers, and executives.
• Ability to work individually, actively participate on integrated teams, and lead multiple tasks, projects or teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and high level POCs in person, over the phone, email, and through project management system.
• Ability to research and evaluate new concepts and processes to improve performance.
• Ability to analyze cross-functional problem sets, identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Ability to assist junior level technicians and managers in their activities.
• Ability to perform all tasks of lower level technicians and analysts.
• Ability to build physical and virtual servers with and without previously defined images or templates.
• Ability to analyze and assess computer/network architecture requirements and determine optimum measures, product utilization, and life cycle of operating systems.
