Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Correctional Health • Day Shift

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their correctional health team. This is a day shift position, requiring a 13•week contract commitment with a 40•hour work week.

Responsibilities:

• Administering medication and performing blood draws.

• Working weekends and holidays as required.

• Adhering to patient ratios within the guidelines of CA State law.

Requirements:

• Active CA L.V.N License. If expired, it must be renewed.

• BLS, LA County Fire Card, Blood draw/IV certification.

• MAB/CPI Certification.

• Two years of psychiatric inpatient experience.

• Experience working in a detention center or other secured environment such as a locked facility in a behavioral health unit and/or a jail is preferred.

• At least 2 years of Psych experience or Correctional Health.

• Travel experience is preferred, but not required.

• COVID vaccination + booster if eligible.

Our client's location is in Downey, CA. The facility provides PPE and has on•site parking. The preferred scrub color is navy blue or black. The EMR used is Cerner.
