Job Description

• Attending to the filing of documents with the Courts and Tribunals.
• Preparation of books of authorities and documents.
• Attending hearings/motions/settlement conferences/trials.
• Drafting of various correspondences.
• Legal research.
• Client intake/consultations.
• Drafting affidavits.
• Drafting Pleadings.
• General management of client files.

Qualifications

• Legal research and writing skills
• Experience handling Landlord and Tenant matters, Small Claims Court, and Provincial Offences. Experience in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases such as CanLII
• Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario and in good standing.
