  • OEC Group is looking for college students with an interest in the Logistics/Supply Chain industry! The ideal candidate is at least a junior year student who is pursuing a degree related to logistics/supply chain, looking to start the internship immediately and can work 20-25 hours per week.

About the Position

Inventory Operations primarily communicates with fitting depots during inventory auditing and reporting. This role also works with multiple manufacturers to ensure requests are made and all necessary documentation is received. This position also must organize import containers of inventory and the movement of flexi-tanks to appropriate depots. 

Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Reviews inventory weekly and updates audit report by COB every Friday.
  • Identifies depot and tank size allocation based on inventory and usage report. 
  • Conducts monthly review on current volume, pipeline business and confirm what materials will need to be ordered. 
  • Coordinates with accounting department for monthly inventory reconciliation. 
  • Updates daily inventory report from depots for inventory management. 
  • Follows Operations SOP to ensure timely and efficient movement of inventory freight inbound. 
  • Assists to fulfill necessary Operations tasks when needed. 
  • Addresses client and company issues by creating effective solutions. 

Work Schedule

Webster Office 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST; 20-25 hours per week, flexible based on school schedule.

Education & Experience

Must be enrolled as an Undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or Graduate student; preferred major in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, International Business, Transportation Management, etc. 

Hourly Pay Rate
$19 per hour

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
