• Department: Interventional Radiology - Neuro and Vascular lab 

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (4 10 hour shifts) and take rotating call to cover nights, weekends, and holidays. This requires a 30 minute response time to the hospital.

• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Hospital 

• Location: Indianapolis, IN

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma facility. We offer 24 hour emergent treatment for Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs), STROKEs, and Trauma’s. The Indianapolis campus has 16 procedural labs. Currently there are 3 cardiac catheterization labs, 4 electrophysiology labs, 2 neuro suites, and 5 vascular/body labs. Our labs are busy and continue to grow. We will provide you with an orientation that is tailored to ensure a successful future within multiple procedural specialties.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

• Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Prepare, implement, and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
