Job Description Westgate Resorts is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented
Director of Housekeeping to lead a lead 3 direct reports and overall team of 75. Possessing strong financial acumen and analytical skills will assist in driving the department's operations to achieve or exceed the resort's financial goals, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The Director of Housekeeping will exhibit strong leadership skills, inspiring and coaching team members to bring their best to work every day. Individual will plan and execute initiatives, projects, and tasks with a strong attention to detail, ensuring all efforts align with the resort's service standards and objectives. Demonstrating Westgate's core values; Passion, Work Ethic and Integrity while creating and maintaining a culture of excellence will be critical to the team's success.
Job Responsibilities: - Drive department's operations to achieve or exceed the property's financial goals and objectives understanding their impact on the resort's success
- Reviews staffing levels regularly to ensure the guest service standards, operational efficiency, and financial objectives are consistently met
- Utilize all available on-the-job training tools to effectively train new room attendants and provide ongoing, follow-up training as needed
- Ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to company standards
- Participates in interviewing and hiring process, selecting team members with the appropriate skills and qualifications
- Maintain the highest levels of quality throughout the resort by implementing innovative strategies that uphold superior cleanliness
- Guarantee daily adherence to the resort's service standards resulting in exceptional guest satisfaction
- Lead, coach, teach, develop, and mentor the housekeeping team
- Maximizing the resort's profitability by utilizing financial tools and strategies to improve department profitability, control departmental expenses, and increase productivity
- Lead and actively participate in team efforts to achieve established goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and cooperation among team members
- Coach leaders and team members on complex issues by breaking them down into manageable components, exploring alternatives, evaluating their potential outcomes, and securing agreement from key stakeholders before making critical decisions
- Plan effectively by gathering relevant information, assessing needs, and ensuring appropriate staffing for specific initiatives, projects, and tasks
- Develop and deliver information and ideas in a compelling and persuasive manner, interpreting verbal and non-verbal cues, and demonstrating active listening to ensure clear understanding and engagement

Qualifications Work Schedule: - Must be open to working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Experience: - 7+ years of leadership experience in a hospitality environment, with a proven track record of managing and motivating diverse teams
- 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within a resort or large-scale hotel setting (400 rooms or more preferred at least 200 required)
- Strong experience in managing departmental budgets, controlling expenses, and optimizing operational efficiencies
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing housekeeping standards, procedures, and training programs
- Proven ability to lead initiatives that drive guest satisfaction and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service
Education & Certifications - Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related required and will except experience in lieu of education
- Certification in Housekeeping Management or related field is an advantage
ABCs of Housekeeping training or similar training guide - Forbes trained or certified preferred
- Additional training or certifications in leadership, customer service, or hospitality management is a plus
- Labor management (LMS) certified or trained preferred
Skills: - Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a service-driven approach with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Strong analytical skills and experience in managing budgets, financial planning, and cost control
- Proven ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve complex issues, make sound decisions, and implement effective solutions
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrates empathy and cultural intelligence in a diverse work environment
- Effectively delegates and applies critical thinking to solve complex operational challenges
- Actively listens and maintains transparency in communication and decision-making
- Adapts to changing priorities and manages time efficiently to meet deadlines and operational goals
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required
