Expected Hours:

20-40 Hours Per Week

Shifts:

Part-time
Full-time
12-10-8-6-5-4 hour shifts

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments

Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to):

• Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors
• Doing dishes
• Changing bed linens, doing laundry
• Cleaning bathroom

Assist the client with problem solving and supportive activities (which could include but are not limited to):

• Medication reminders
• Encouraging exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Cooking meals
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care
• Companionship

Qualifications and Skills:

• A Valid (NJS) HHA Certification or PCA Certification
• Valid ID and Social Security Card
• 2 Work or Professional References
• Warmth, compassion, patience, trustworthiness, and an upbeat and confident personality with strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills!
