Genies is looking for a
Full Stack Web Developer Intern to join our R&D group this summer. Based either in our Los Angeles or San Mateo offices (Hybrid), you will work closely with a dedicated and talented team of artists, technical artists and engineers. Together, you will explore new concepts and technologies to further Genies' mission of empowering users to develop their own avatar ecosystems. We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating high-quality visuals and has the technical foundation to help us build the next wave of digital identity.
What You'll be Doing: - Collaborate with the Avatar Tech team to gather requirements and understand data flow and process outputs.
- Design the dashboard interface with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and meaningful data visualization.
- Develop the frontend using React, ensuring it integrates smoothly with the backend services.
- Implement mechanisms for real-time data updates and alerts for critical events in the asset processing pipeline.
- Evaluate and integrate data tracking tools for deeper process insights.
- Document the system architecture, data flows, and development decisions.
- Present findings and progress to the development team and incorporate feedback into iterative improvements.
What You Should Have: - Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in modern web development frameworks, particularly React for frontend development.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for process automation and experience with Datadog for monitoring and logging processes.
- Experience with backend development using Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, database management, and server-side logic.
- Familiarity with cloud services and monitoring tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Starting Salary: $40-$55 per hour
