This position is responsible for concepting and building the client-side of our web applications. Must be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
  • Maintain and improve existing and legacy websites
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance
  • Implement responsive layouts
  • Collaborate with back-end-developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides
  • Create mockups and prototypes at various levels of fidelity – from simple wireframes to interactive
  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency utilizing shared components and styles
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with company personnel and management to ensure a quick and satisfactory response
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments
  • Ensures the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
  • All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to fifteen pounds at times

COMPENTENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience concepting, wireframing, and prototyping user interfaces
  • Familiarity with design software like Adobe Suite and Figma
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics
  • Proven work experience as a front-end developer
  • Hands on experience with markup languages
  • Experience with semantic HTML, modern JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience with at least one of the major JS frameworks: Vue, React, or Angular
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process – design, development, and deployment
  • Knowledge of SEO principles
  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements
  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to change focus frequently and often while being detail orientated and well organized

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of work experience and education in computer science
  • 3+ years of experience (or equivalent) as a Front-end Developer

PREFERRED:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field
