Forklift Operator - Granite Yard
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and material-handling equipment to move, load, and organize granite slabs and stone products in a fast-paced yard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move granite slabs and stone materials
- Assist with truck loading and unloading
- Organize and stage materials in the yard for efficient operations
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all safety procedures and yard regulations
- Work closely with yard staff and dispatch to meet daily production and delivery schedules
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Qualifications:
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred
- Experience handling heavy or fragile materials preferred
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Previous experience in a granite, stone, or construction yard a plus
Work Environment:
Busy granite yard with exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions. Full-time position; overtime may be required.
