Forensic Engineer (Structural) Job Title: Forensic Engineer (Structural) Location: Greenville, SC (and surrounding areas NC, SC, GA) Company: Jobs via Dice (hosted by Jobot) Overview We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 4 to 15 years of experience who is interested in or already experienced with forensic engineering. In this role you will perform structural and building envelope evaluations, write detailed technical reports, support litigation teams, and provide expert testimony. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys field investigations, problem solving, and communicating findings clearly to attorneys, adjusters, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities Conduct forensic investigations on structural systems and building envelope failures Perform site visits 7 to 8 days per month throughout NC, SC, and GA Prepare detailed, defensible engineering reports for insurance and legal clients Serve as an expert witness and provide deposition testimony as required Analyze structural issues, building envelope problems, and construction defects Apply structural engineering knowledge to civil related issues when needed Focus on wood‑framed structures and general building science assessments Collaborate with internal engineers, attorneys, and project managers Qualifications 4 to 15 years of structural engineering experience PE license strongly preferred Strong report writing ability Exposure to wood frame structures is highly desired Experience or interest in forensic engineering Ability to travel regionally 7 to 8 days each month Comfortable providing professional testimony Benefits Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 DOE Quarterly profit sharing Relocation assistance: $5,000 Excellent benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, and more) No on‑call requirements Stable workload and long‑term growth path into senior expert witness roles Job Details Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level Employment Type: Full‑time Job Function: Management and Manufacturing Industry: Software Development EEO Statement Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
