POSITION TITLE: Fencing Technician
COMPANY: G P Roadway Solutions
DEPARTMENT: Oahu Branch - Rentals
REPORTS TO: Manager, Rentals

Employment Type: Union

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Performs rental fence duties, including but not limited to: Loading/unloading, fabricating, delivering/picking up, installing/removing, cleaning and repairing fence materials.

Uses equipment and tools including but not limited to: Rhino pneumatic post driver, rock drill, compressor, welder, fence pliers, ladders, post pullers, come along, and other installation / removal tools and equipment.

Assists in maintaining housekeeping and securing jobsites, facilities, and

Coordinate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks, ensure timely completion of projects, and review plans.

Ensures documents are correctly completed and turned in daily for all job assignments, with emphasis on keeping an accurate inventory of incoming/outgoing equipment.

Identifies and determines when vehicle/equipment/materials should be refurbished or replaced and alerts Supervisor or Foreman.

Ability to safely tow equipment, reverse vehicles over 10,001 GVW, and reverse towed equipment.

May be required to lift varying weight based on assigned duties/tasks.

Performs other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Spot welding experience preferred.
3. Basic math skills and ability to read tape measures.
4. Required to read maps, job orders, forms.
5. Blueprint reading helpful.
6. Valid Hawaii driver's license, clean traffic abstract and ability to meet DOT requirements for non-CDL commercial drivers.
7. Ability to use small hand tools and climb ladders (ladders are rated at 300 pounds including person, tools and material).
8. Some knowledge of basic welding skills preferred.
9. Good interpersonal skills.
10. Able to follow instructions, work independently or with a crew to complete jobs in a timely manner.
11. Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends, as necessary.
12. Able to work in all weather conditions.
13. Must be able to pass a background check in order to get security clearance to access military facilities.
14. Able to lift varying weights as required for the role.

Note: This is a union position. If not currently in the Laborer's union, the selected candidate will be asked to join the union prior to date of hire.
