About the Role As an Executive Creative Director at Monks, you'll work alongside other ECDs in the client group, driving our vision, nurturing creative excellence, and helping shape big decisions across the company. Your role, reporting to the EVP Head of Creative, is all about leading, inspiring, and growing our creative teams while hitting clear goals that push us towards our future vision. As an ECD, you'll be the go-to creative partner for both new and existing clients, providing executive-level guidance and collaboration that's key to our client's growth and retention. Additionally, you'll be at the heart of pushing for cutting-edge, innovation-first creative in pitches and projects, at times working with different capability teams to bring together the best collective partnership. Key Responsibilities: Drive the Creative Vision: Create new industry standards for brand design and redefine the traditional brand-agency partnership by leveraging our expertise in emerging technology to drive innovative creative that crosses marketing, product, and the consumer journey. Ensure our reputation is consistently innovative, smart, fantastically crafted, kind, and fun. Help set and achieve annual creative department goals, ensuring these objectives are met and progress is tracked on a quarterly basis. Lead, Grow, and Problem Solve: Manage and mentor our creatives, including Group Creative Directors, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Motion Artists, Designers, and UX Specialists, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and the Relentless Pursuit of Better. Encourage a culture of innovation and experimentation by promoting a mindset of risk-taking and continuous learning as well as facilitating group discussions and hackathons. As one of our senior-most leaders, be a guide to or collaborate with cross-functional teams (strategy, accounts, technology) to solve challenges and remove roadblocks. Lead with our values, be empathetic, accessible, and relatable, and champion inclusive values. Win New Business and Foster Sr Client Relationships: Oversee and engage in creative pitches, leaning more heavily into net-new brands with high potential upside and other opportunities designated as high priority. Build trust and rapport with existing brand clients and internal Monk client teams. Identify new and organic growth opportunities in existing clients. Evaluate incoming opportunities and provide perspective to business leads and growth on strategic approach to win or staff most effectively and efficiently. Use Group Creative Directors to lead and execute your vision and approach for success. Ensure and Expect Creative Excellence: Oversee that the creation of digital, campaign, web, and experiential work is impactful, differentiated, and high-quality. Push both our talent and our clients to achieve best-in-class, award-worthy work. Work with other department leads ensuring creative concepts align with client objectives, are executable, and profitable. Create and Uphold Process: Develop internal processes that enhance workflow efficiency, creativity, and team collaboration. Oversee the creation of training material to address various skill gaps within the team. Contribute to streamlining processes across the account and projects, eliminating obstacles that hinder our pursuit of creative excellence. Elevate Our Brand Presence and Perception: Represent Media.Monks at public events, awards, and industry activities, maintaining a strong presence and reputation in the industry. Be a champion of our creative work and promote our best both internally and externally to increase awareness and shift perception of our brand and capabilities. About You Extensive experience in a creative leadership role within at least one top-tier agency, typically 13-15 years of creative experience, 3-4 years of experience at the Group Creative Director level, and 7-5 years as a Creative Director in an advertising agency. A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative work, including successful, award-winning campaigns, experiential or interactive design work. Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of brand, all things digital, and the latest creative and tech trends. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
