About the Role:

The Executive Chef is responsible for leading the culinary operations within an accommodation and food services environment, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences that meet high standards of quality, presentation, and taste. This role involves designing innovative menus that reflect current food trends while accommodating diverse dietary needs and preferences. The Executive Chef oversees kitchen staff, manages inventory and food costs, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Collaboration with management and other departments is essential to align culinary offerings with overall business goals and customer expectations. Ultimately, the Executive Chef plays a pivotal role in enhancing the establishment's reputation through culinary excellence and operational leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role within the accommodation and food services industry.
  • Formal culinary education or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a diverse kitchen team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in high-volume or luxury hospitality environments.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Expertise in menu engineering and cost control strategies.
  • Experience in preparing food for banquets, weddings, and other large events.
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and allergen management.
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative and seasonal menus that align with the brand and customer preferences.
  • Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations including inventory control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food cost efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to plan budgets, forecast needs, and contribute to marketing and promotional activities related to food services.
