We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative  Email Designer to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for transforming content documents into visually compelling and accessible HTML email layouts using  Salesforce Marketing Cloud . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HTML, a keen eye for design, and a solid understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG). You’ll collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to support engagement and revenue-generating campaigns, producing one email per day on average.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build HTML emails using  Salesforce Marketing Cloud templates.
• Translate content documents into engaging email layouts while ensuring  WCAG-compliant accessibility.
• Suggest compelling subject lines and preheader text to optimize open rates.
• Perform light photo editing using  Photoshop or Illustrator as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and alignment with campaign goals.
• Manage email production workflow from design through launch, including QA and proofing via  Workfront .
• Support both engagement and revenue-focused email campaigns.
• Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and design standards.
• Utilize existing templates and recommend improvements where applicable.

• 3+ years of experience in email design and production, preferably in  Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in  basic HTML and email layout best practices.
• Familiarity with  digital accessibility guidelines (WCAG) .
• Experience with  Photoshop and/or Illustrator for light image editing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience working in  Workfront or similar project management tools.
• Background in  higher education or nonprofit marketing is highly preferred.
• General understanding of marketing principles and audience engagement strategies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with responsive email design.
• Knowledge of A/B testing and email performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
