The Dotson Bridge and Mentoring Program serves African American, Latina, Asian, and Native American (ALANA) students in the nursing programs at Simmons University. Through mentorship, leadership training, volunteerism, and career counseling, the program has empowered ALANA and first-generation nursing students for over a decade, investing in their success as learners, healthcare professionals, and leaders. Physicians and interdisciplinary colleagues highly respect the nursing staff at Mass General Brigham for their clinical expertise in providing integrated and compassionate care to adult patients. Positions are available for Patient Care Associate (PCA) and Unit Coordinator in all specialty areas of Mass General Brigham for students of the Dotson Nursing Fellowship and the Simmons University Nursing program. The Patient Care Associate (PCA) role supports the healthcare team under RN supervision. The Unit Coordinator play a critical role in patient care by serving as the central source of information by communicating with patients, families, and medical staff.
