IT Manager Job Description

At Shared Practices Group LLC, we’re seeking an experienced IT manager who has the technological skills to make us even more efficient. This person will analyze current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. The IT manager will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth. This is a remote position and this individual will work from their home office, with travel up to 1-2x per month.

Responsibilities

• Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems
• Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
• Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
• Monitoring/supporting our offices remotely
• Coordinating and/or completing hardware installs for new sites and working with project management team
• Analyze departmental needs
• Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed
• Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups

Minimum qualifications

• Travel up to 1-2x per month
• Three or more years of experience in IT management
• Experience in working with dental offices
• Deep knowledge of programming languages and operating systems
• Strong creative and analytical thinking

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
• Professional certification
• Experience with Open Dental

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday

Compensation: $95,000-$105,000
