Reviewing and validating dental insurance claims for accuracy and completeness
Entering claim information into the computer system for processing
Checking the eligibility and coverage details of the patient
Confirming that the dental procedures performed are covered by the insurance policy
Communicating with dental offices to obtain missing information or clarify discrepancies
Resolving claim discrepancies and issues in a timely manner
Working with the dental insurance company to determine the amount of payment or denial of claim
Ensuring compliance with the company’s procedures and regulations as well as federal and state laws relating to insurance claims
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
Keeping records of all processed claims and preparing reports as neede
