\n *Position is fully onsite: Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm

\nKelly is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work with our client, a leading manufacturing organization with over 55 years of success, on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a small and family-oriented company that serves customers around the world!

\nThe Customer Service Representative will:

\n\n
    \n\t
  • Handle incoming telephone, online, mail, and fax orders from customers \n\t
  • Complete orders, update ERP system, and send to shipping department for processing or schedule accordingly\n\t
  • Ensure Production Manager & Materials Manager are aware of any large orders, both current and in the future\n\t
  • Perform credit adjustments and rebilling as necessary\n\t
  • Collaborate with co-workers to effectively manage/complete the workload\n\t
  • Liaise between various departments including Materials, Tech Support, Inventory Control and Shipping to validate information and support customer’s needs\n\t
  • Follow up with the customer regarding any changes to the agreed upon order\n\t
  • Assist when needed in collecting following week’s scheduled orders and sending to shipping department\n\t
  • Set up new customer accounts, collect credit references, and follow up with the customer in regards to their account status\n\t
  • Complete invoicing and process credits as required\n\t
  • Complete end of month reports/tasks in a timely manner\n\t
  • Perform switchboard, reception, and administrative duties as needed\n\t
  • Process Return Authorizations and the daily Receiving Log as required\n
\nExperience:\n\n
    \n\t
  • 2+ years of previous working experience in a business-to-business customer service environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\t
  • Previous manufacturing experience would be a plus but is not required\n\t
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to accurately enter data in the ERP system\n\t
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills\n\t
  • Good working knowledge of various office machines including printers, fax machine, postage machine, and photocopier\n\t
  • Ability to learn and understand a basic knowledge of company-specific manufacturing parts as well as company policies and procedures\n\t
  • Must be a critical thinker with the ability to analyze problems, make informed decisions, and adapt to new challenges\n\t
  • Excellent customer service skills\n\t
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail, a flair for analysis, and accuracy are essential to this position\n\t
  • Individual must be self-motivated with good business sense and initiative to follow through on matters\n\t
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to remain calm and work well under pressure\n\t
  • Self-confident with the ability to successfully handle and defuse difficult situations with customers that result in a win-win situation for both parties\n\t
  • Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor are a must\n\t
  • Solid judgement and the ability to handle multiple tasks\n\t
  • Must be a team player\n
