Job Description

Legacy Farmers Cooperative is looking for a motivated Crop Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll help our members and customers get the most out of their farms by combining your agronomy knowledge with strong relationships and a hands-on approach. You'll guide farmers in areas like crop nutrients, seed, crop protection, and precision agriculture-all while being a trusted resource they can count on.

Essential Job Functions

• Work directly with members to understand their farming needs and provide practical solutions in crop nutrients, seed, crop protection, and precision agriculture.
• Assist with day-to-day agronomy operations, including field scouting and using technology to support crop performance and yields.
• Conduct onsite grower crop visits to provide hands-on support and advice.
• Respond to member questions and calls, including occasional after-hours support.
• Share knowledge with members about Legacy's products, programs, and services.
• Participate in research projects, test plots, and the LFC Agronomy Research Farm to provide up-to-date guidance.
• Continuously grow your expertise in all crop products, seed programs, and crop protection offerings.
• Work toward obtaining your Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) license within three years to further your knowledge and value to members.
• Participate in training, personal development, and new technology opportunities to keep learning and improving.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in agriculture, crop sales, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record (required to operate company vehicles).
• Willingness to follow all company policies, safety rules, and procedures.
