We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in providing anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures, including Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, and Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) cases. As a CRNA, you will work collaboratively with our surgical team to ensure the safe and effective administration of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgery.

Responsibilities:

  • Anesthesia Administration: Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed throughout the surgery.

  • Patient Assessment: Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, including reviewing patient medical history, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating lab results to develop individualized anesthesia care plans.

  • Anesthesia Management: Select and administer appropriate anesthesia agents and techniques based on patient condition, surgical procedure, and surgeon preference. Utilize regional anesthesia techniques when indicated.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless coordination of care. Communicate effectively with the surgical team regarding patient status and anesthesia management.

  • Documentation: Accurately document anesthesia care provided, including pre-anesthetic assessments, intraoperative care, and post-anesthesia follow-up in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Patient Education: Provide preoperative education to patients and their families regarding anesthesia options, risks, and expectations for the surgical experience. Address any questions or concerns to promote informed decision-making and alleviate anxiety.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with prescriptive authority.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CRNA in a surgical setting, preferably including Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, and OB/GYN surgeries.
  • Proficiency in administering a variety of anesthesia techniques, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC).
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous professional development.

Work Environment:
