Custom Produce Sales is a Fresh Produce Consolidator\Distributor with over $100M in annual sales revenue.

We are looking to fill a new position in the accounting department.

This is a growth position for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Controller, the Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in our daily operations, working closely across departments to support accurate and timely financial information.

• General Ledger management, including preparation and posting of journal entries in addition to performing account reconciliations to sub-ledger and/or third party supporting information, such as amortization and depreciation schedules.
• Support cash management and banking operations, including but not limited to cash reporting and bank reconciliations, record journal entries to ensure all transactions are posted correctly via Famous sub-ledger.
• Conduct prepaid and other asset/liability analysis and reconciliation. Track and amortize amounts in compliance with company accounting policies.
• Assist Controller with monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures and Financial Statement preparation.
• Upload month end financial reports to Corporate Parent Company (CPC).
• Upload financial reports as requested by CPC.
• Perform Year-end activities for internal audit including requested schedules, analysis, and research.
• Assist in the move from Famous to NetSuite ERP in coming months.
• Assist in preparation for the future Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the CPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of accounting experience in Public Accounting and Private Industry preferably in produce
• Practical working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement reporting, and accounting processes and transactions
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Competencies

• Famous accounting ERP system experience a plus
• NetSuite accounting ERP system experience a plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines, work under pressure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
