Our commitment to providing exceptional care, despite any challenges, goes beyond just a job; it’s a calling that drives us forward every day.**Job Overview**The Community Health Organizer I is an integral part of AltaMed’s Community Organizing and Research Engagement (CORE) team, responsible for partnering with community members and patients to advance community-centered solutions to advance health equity. The Community Health Organizer I will implement community-centered outreach, education, leadership development, and capacity-building activities within the communities in AltaMed’s service areas and support engagement of partners and other stakeholders. This role will engage community members and patients in co-planning strategies for program implementation and health equity campaigns, co-design culturally concordant informational materials with community members, and co-lead advocacy around community health priorities. The Community Health Organizer I will also contribute to community-engaged research around best practices for community engagement in health equity policy, systems, and environmental change and advocacy.**Minimum Requirements*** High school diploma required.* Bachelor’s degree preferred.* Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with community members or patients required.* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred due to the population served.**Compensation**$26.08 - $32.60 hourly**Compensation Disclaimer**Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
