Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Established by a group of community physicians, the goals of the founding physicians have not changed since they were established in 1999. These goals focus on:

• Streamlining the delivery of medical care so it is patient-centered to provide the highest quality services.

This  Billing/Coding Specialist opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient Monday-Friday day-shift schedule.  We are looking for a dynamic Billing/Coding Specialist that will be responsible for diagnostic coding of all surgery center cases and the accurate submission of hard and electronic claims.  

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures all billable supplies are captured and submitted to insurance
• Enters and posts charges for all cases performed in the Surgery Center.
• Ensures completeness of billings on a daily basis.
• Correct procedural and diagnostic coding of all surgical services

• High school graduate
• Experience using a medical software billing system.  Must be familiar with Windows.
• Minimum of one year coding and billing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center, business office of an acute care hospital or medical office.  Certified coder (COC) is preferable.
