It's the way you want to be treated. Position Summary: This hybrid clinical based position will be a liaison between the clinical areas, data and information technology. This role serves as a clinical knowledge expert providing input into the design, development, evaluation, and optimization of the electronic medical record systems to improve health care quality, efficiency, and satisfaction among clinicians and patients. Through data and process assessment this individual will assist with the identification, evaluation, and assessment of new care delivery technology, developing recommendations on the impact of integration with existing workflows and systems.
This position will lead clinical IT application projects of varying scope and coordinate activities of project team members to achieve project goals and timelines. This position will work with multiple departments and stakeholders involved in such projects and leverage knowledge and skill. This position will assist in monitoring and reporting in regulatory compliance and ensure compliance as well as manage expectations with multiple stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Leads IT Application team-based projects from start to testing and implementation.
- Independently manage project work to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensures the quality and integrity of project deliverables.
- Provides ongoing assessment of clinical metrics to assess technology adoption and project success
- Seeks opportunities for improved clinical adoption in the acute space as well as assisting in further identification of optimization opportunities.
- Acts independently and proactively to manage and resolve workflow and technology gaps.
- Collaborates with staff and team in the development and monitoring of electronic quality measures (eCQMs) and measures related to Promoting Interoperability in the acute space and as needed in the ambulatory space.
- Participates in committees, taskforces and advisory groups as needed.
- Prepares and presents presentations to management and stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications :
Education and Training :
- Bachelor's Degree is required . Bachelor of Science in Nursing a plus
- 5-7 years in healthcare hospital setting is a must
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple projects involving a wide range of individuals.
- Experience with Cerner EHR clinical documentation, clinical workflow analysis and redesign
- Strong analytic abilities collecting, managing, and analyzing organization data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with commitment to superior quality.
- Effective interpersonal skills with ability to teach how to use technology efficiently and securely
- Strong knowledge of healthcare performance measurement, policy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Work Shift Details: Days, Hybrid - a degree of onsite work is required
