We are looking for a Chief Test Pilot to join our team. The goal of a Chief Test Pilot at Wisk is to ensure that the flight test team executes safely, effectively and efficiently. You will be part of the Flight Test & Operations team that develops and executes the flight test program.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Hollister office.
In this role you will join our leadership team to mature the flight test organization through the developmental test campaign. You will help foster a culture that will be the cornerstone of our flight test organization throughout the certification campaign. You will guide the flight test team and program as a whole through the risk management and problem solving required to execute a complex aircraft development program.
What you will do: - As the Chief Test Pilot, you will lead the team of test pilots. You are accountable for the scope of that team and its support to the Gen 6 program.
- You will support the entire flight test team of pilots, engineers, and mechanics and will develop, train, and mentor them. You will help them establish mature processes and tools for Wisk.
- You will work closely with engineering design teams to understand the aircraft system and support multidisciplinary program reviews throughout the different phases of development, certification and production readiness.
- You will be involved in the safety risk management process, participating in hazard assessment and risk mitigation. You will set an example with regards to Wisk's culture, especially from a safety and inclusion perspective.
Requirements: - 12 years of experience in flight testing and graduate of an SETP recognized Test Pilot School, or equivalent experience
- FAA Commercial Pilot or ATP certificate (Fixed or Rotary Wing)
- You have worked in Aircraft Developmental programs with direct experience in executing flight testing
- You have hands-on experience working within the engineering organization to inform or assess vehicle design
- You have a deep and applied knowledge risk management and hazard assessment in the operational, experimental and certification environment
- You have led teams who have accomplished planning, execution, and reporting of flight test programs of complex aircraft
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization
$255,000 - $301,000 a year

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $255,000 - $301,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
