About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer to lead and manage all aspects of fund development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive, donor-centric fund development strategy to grow and sustain various funding streams, including institutional, individual, and major donors, and digital campaigns. This role requires a strategic leader who can institutionalize fund development efforts, build a diverse funding base, and ensure the organization's continued impact. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will also be tasked with overseeing the performance and growth of the Philanthropy team, enhancing systems that support philanthropic efforts, and working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to advance organization-wide strategies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a preference for those who have worked in clean energy, environmental, or environmental justice spaces. A proven track record in monitoring and reporting on fundraising metrics, as well as experience in managing a team of fundraising professionals, is essential. The role demands a leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to incorporate equity and justice into fundraising strategies, and a strong understanding of the funding landscape. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will also be expected to contribute to the organization's work on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to bring a commitment to the mission of realizing a clean energy future.
