About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Co-Chief Executive Officer (Co-CEO) to join its executive shared leadership team. This dual role is pivotal in guiding the organization's strategic direction, leadership culture, and operational success. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive leadership in financial and business operations, ensuring the organization's financial resilience, and fostering collaboration and values-aligned decision-making. As a CFO/Co-CEO, the role involves providing strategic leadership in all finance and business operations functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, legal affairs, risk management, and support for governance. The CFO/Co-CEO will also be a key figure in internal culture development, external relations, and will champion the organization's mission of responsible financial stewardship and operational excellence. Applicants for the CFO/Co-CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of senior management experience in a multifaceted, multi-venue public events facility, with a strong preference for those with a background in nonprofit arts or cultural organizations. The role requires a candidate with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a CPA or MBA is strongly preferred, and a deep knowledge of nonprofit financial regulations, GAAP, budgeting, investment policy, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive leadership, strategic thinking, and change management, as well as strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills. Experience in negotiating union contracts and managing legal risk is also preferred. The CFO/Co-CEO will be a skilled visionary leader, adept at problem-solving, and decision-making, and will possess the ability to influence across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
