Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) manages one of the most challenging radioactive waste cleanup projects in the country. Our focus is reducing the environmental risk posed by 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste stored in 177 underground tanks on the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is seeking a Buyer Technical Representative.
Job Duties Include:
* Serve as a liaison between the subcontractor, procurement, construction manager, and other members of the project team.
* Review and approve subcontractor proposals, invoices, and weekly labor reports.
* Generate contract requisitions, scope of work documents, contract changes, and maintain contract action logs.
* Review design to support work scope generation.
* Complete documentation to close out projects.
Required Qualifications
Grade 17:
* Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field and 6-7 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
* Successfully completes the BTR Qualification within sixty (60) days of hire and maintains qualification accordingly.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience in commercial construction.
* Extensive knowledge in design media/ blueprint interpretation for civil, mechanical, and electrical installations.
* Experience associated with Microsoft Office Tools.
* Contract negotiation/generation.
* Technical proficiency in writing concisely.
* Experience in Department of Energy nuclear facility.
* Working knowledge of estimating process, including material take off, labor hour compilation, construction equipment, and subcontractor management.

Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $94,650
Hiring Range Maximum: $119,250
