Job Title: Business Office Coordinator

  • Full-time.
  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Location: This position will require travel to multiple Columbine campuses including:

  • 1475 Main St. Windsor, CO
  • 4824 S. Lemay Ave. Fort Collins, CO
  • 802 W. Drake Rd. Fort Collins, CO

About the Role:

As a Business Office Coordinator at Columbine Health Systems, you will:

  • Manage admission, discharge, and financial systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate documentation in electronic health records.
  • Communicate with families about financial obligations, insurance eligibility, prior authorizations, and coordinate appeals for Medicare and other insurance claims.
  • Provide guidance on Medicaid applications and educates on Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance coverage.
  • Oversee private payment collections, Medicaid paperwork, and keep the administration informed about outstanding accounts.

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or other related degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 2+ relevant previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Medicare and/or Medicaid billing or enrollment experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Financial Management : Proficiency in handling billing, insurance verification, collections, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulations.
  • Data Management : Strong skills in maintaining accurate electronic health records, resident tracking, and handling paperwork related to admissions and discharges.
  • Communication : Ability to clearly communicate financial information, payment obligations, and insurance coverage details to families, residents, and staff.

  • Attention to Detail : Ensures accuracy in financial documentation, compliance, and record-keeping.
  • Empathy : Provides compassionate support to residents and families during potentially stressful discussions about finances and care.
  • Problem-Solving : Able to navigate complex insurance issues, resolve billing disputes, and coordinate appeals effectively.

Our Total Rewards package includes a salary range of between $20 - $25/hr. DOE
