We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will also be tasked with conducting regular audits and creating detailed reports to help our management team make informed financial decisions. Job Details
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Prepare and send invoices, track overdue accounts, and ensure timely payments.
Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Work closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
Work closely with the tax accountant to ensure proper expense classifications.
Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
Monitor financial transactions and reports.
Process accounts receivable and payable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the Mortgage industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
Strong experience with general ledger functions.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
