*About the Position:*
The House of Music Therapy (THMT) is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Music Therapist who is passionate, independent, and experienced in working with children to adults, including those with neurological, intellectual, developmental disorders, and mental health needs. In this role, you'll deliver individual and group sessions, primarily in clients' homes, making a significant impact in their comfort zones. Additionally, you'll also conduct sessions virtually and in various facilities, offering flexibility and variety in your day-to-day work. *Position Responsibilities:*
* Complete necessary on-boarding requirements for THMT
* Plan and conduct developmentally-appropriate individual and group sessions to meet client-specific, measurable goals
* Collect and synthesize clinical data into measurable outcome reports
* Evaluate client progress and complete daily progress reports and quarterly re-assessment reports in a timely manner
* Transport (drive) self and necessary equipment to client homes, day facilities, medical facilities, and/or residential facilities
* Manage personal schedule, invoices, and tax information
* Provide majority of clinical tools including instruments and educational resources
* Adhere to THMT documentation and invoicing deadlines
* Play a vital and supporting role as a liaison to the clients and their families
* Treat every client, family member, and co-worker with dignity, respect, and courtesy
* Understand THMT’s core mission and values and incorporate them into daily practice
* Comply with applicable federal and/or state laws (i.e. HIPAA), regulations and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc. (i.e. board-certification requirements, standards of clinical practice, CPR credentials, etc.)
* Adhere to the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Standards of Clinical Practice and Code of Ethics
* Participate in ongoing growth and development activities consistent with the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) professional standards
* Maintain music therapy supplies and demonstrate appropriate care of materials
* Regularly communicate and connect with client caregivers, case managers, and/or treatment team members
* Represent THMT at community events and presentations
* **For applicants with 3+ years of clinical experiences** Supervise music therapy practicum students and/or music therapy internship students (additional compensation provided)
*Qualifications:*
*Required*
* Board certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC)
* Experience with Children
* Dependable transportation with good driving record
* Effective and strong behavioral management skills
* Proficient musicianship and clinical skills
* Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds (cultural, social, physical, psychological, etc).
* Effective and organized written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Google Drive
*Preferred*
* Master’s degree in Music Therapy
* Experience with telehealth
* Owns the necessary equipment to complete services (i.e. instruments, recording tools, computer, etc)
* Spanish language proficiency
*Compensation*: $50 - $65 / session - pay rate commensurate education and experience. This caseload will start with about 10 client hours per week, and should expand to a full caseload quickly.

The application process at The House of Music Therapy is designed to be thorough yet respectful of your time. It unfolds in three main stages:
*Initial HR Interview:* The first step is a 30-minute interview with our Human Resources team. This conversation is an opportunity for us to get to know you better, understand your background, and discuss your interest in the position.
*Clinical Interview: *If you advance past the initial stage, you'll participate in a more in-depth, hour-long interview focused on clinical responsibilities. This is your chance to showcase your expertise, discuss your approach to music therapy, and how you align with our client-centered services.
*Video Audition: *Additionally, candidates will be asked to submit a video audition. This unique component allows you to demonstrate your musicianship and clinical skills in a practical setting, providing us with a clearer view of your capabilities and how you engage in music therapy practices.
