Job Summary: Orthopaedic Associates, a leading healthcare provider in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing and Coding Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding and billing, excellent management skills, and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the billing and coding department, including managing a team of billing and coding specialists and medical records.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of claims for services rendered
• Review and correct any coding errors to maximize reimbursement
• Monitor and track reimbursement trends and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation for coding and billing purposes
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines
• Train and educate staff on coding and billing guidelines and procedures
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve any billing and reimbursement issues
• Stay updated on coding and billing changes and provide insightful recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role
• In-depth knowledge of coding systems and guidelines (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
• Familiarity with insurance billing and reimbursement processes
• Advanced computer skills and experience with electronic health records and billing systems
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
