Our services focus on the planning and design of the structured cabling infrastructure, audio/visual systems, and electronic video security within the built environment. Additionally, we offer acoustical services focused on architectural acoustics, sound isolation and acoustical modeling. Career Opportunity

We are seeking to add an experienced Audio/Visual Systems Designer to our growing team of talented designers and consultants. In this role, the Audio/Visual Systems Designer will work within our team to provide solutions and designs for various AV systems within a space and/or overall facility. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in working with audio/visual systems, preferable from a design perspective. The position will serve as the primary audio/visual designer on various projects in the markets of education, healthcare, corporate and hospitality. Typical projects include academic buildings in K12 and higher education, corporate office environments, auditoriums, and healthcare facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following:

  • CTS certification from AVIXA.
  • Extron / Crestron / or other manufacturer training and/or certifications.
  • Industry certifications in the area of audio/visual.
  • A degree in an applicable field such as information technology, electrical engineering, or design technology.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of two years consulting experience in the design and/or implementation of audio/visual systems.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and the various technologies/hardware for facilities.
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work within a small team and independently.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment with multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team for a project including the architectural team and various trades to ensure the systems are coordinated and reflective of the owner requirements.
  • Provide thought leading solutions and perspectives with audio/visual systems that impact a building and the end user experience with technology.
  • Create budgetary models reflective of the audio/visual systems for owner review and consideration.
  • Develop solid drawings and specifications that reflect the design intent and owner requirements.
  • Design solutions focused on the building requirements. This includes but is not limited to cabling infrastructure, pathways and conduits, and audio/visual systems.
  • Conduct submittals reviews and shop drawings to ensure a complete understanding by the contractor.
  • Routine site visits for inspection of completed work is required to ensure the appropriate design and standards are being followed in the field during construction.
  • Research of emerging technologies with various manufacturers products to understand the impact and use on projects.
