How Youll Make An Impact

The Associate General Counsel Product, Marketing & Advertising will serve as a key legal partner to our marketing and product teams. This position will provide legal subject matter expertise on a wide range of marketing and consumer law matters. The ideal candidate is businessminded, collaborative, and experienced in navigating marketing and sales issues within regulated environments.

What Youll Do

• Provide daytoday legal advice to sales, marketing, digital experience and product teams providing crossfunctional subject matter expertise in an evolving subscription services landscape.
• Review and approve product claims, substantiation, advertising (including social, print, digital and outofhome and TV), promotional materials, press releases and all consumerfacing materials.
• Counsel and provide strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues regarding email marketing, telemarketing and text messaging; debt collection, payments (EFTA), digital advertising, influencer marketing, sweepstakes and automatic renewal products to ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations, advertising law, substantiation, online disclosures, endorsements, usergenerated content and industry best practices.
• Review user flows and user journeys, product packaging, and user guides to ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance.
• Collaborate crossfunctionally with a wide variety of SiriusXM business units, including enduser experience, customer support, product and engineering, marketing, and programming.
• Keep up to date on the latest developments in the laws, regulations, and industry trends applicable to the sales and marketing of our services (e.g., TCPA and state telemarketing laws, ROSCA and state automatic renewals, pricing and junk fees, endorsement guides and contract formation).
• Draft, negotiate and review a range of agreements with agencies, vendors, production companies, influencers, event promoters, prize providers, copromotional partners and sponsors.
• Support the Company and outside counsel in offensive and defensive claims and litigation and in proceedings before government regulators and plaintiff counsel.

What Youll Need

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in New York, D.C., Georgia, California, and Texas.
• 8+ years of applicable experience at a law firm or inhouse legal department.
• Prior experience in subscription marketing and consumer products.
• Knowledge of telemarketing, debt collection, automatic renewal laws.
• Familiarity with social media, influencer marketing, digital advertising, privacy laws and promotional advertising.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear, actionable advice to crossfunctional teams.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. The base salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $193,600 to $243,500, and may be eligible for discretionary shortterm and longterm incentives.
