We are always looking for talented individuals seeking to build a career and join the Wixon family. Wixon has an immediate opening for an Analytical Chemist in our Quality Control Department.

As an Analytical Chemist at Wixon, youll play a crucial role in our state-of-the-art laboratory, supporting product development and quality assurance through advanced analytical testing and method development. Reporting to the Analytical Lab Supervisor, youll utilize cutting-edge instrumentation and techniques to ensure the highest standards of product quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing activities as directed by Department Supervisor in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform specialized analytical testing in support of development projects and new products.
• Document all results according to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Monitor backlog and plan testing schedule to ensure quoted turnaround times are met.
• Utilize wet chemistry techniques (e.g., ELISA, gravimetry, titrimetry, colorimetry) and instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, GC-FID, ICP-MS, NIR) as needed.
• Enter testing data into the control plan, review analytical data, and monitor for QC failures.
• Maintain chemical/reagent traceability, calibrate laboratory equipment, and assist with inventory control.
• Support quality system improvements, controlled document maintenance, and communicate effectively with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related field
• Experience with HPLC, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, ELISA and wet chemistry techniques preferred.
• Strong computer and analytical skills
