Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing tailored care strategies
- Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, working in cooperation with physicians or independently depending on your credentials
- Guiding patients and their families in preventive measures, wellness practices, and effective disease management strategies
- Prescribing medications and therapies within the practitioner's scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and overseeing chronic care management
- Cooperating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and seamless care
- Maintaining accurate and complete medical records in electronic systems
Educational Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner licensing in Missouri
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
