*Night Position at Long Term Acute Care Hospital*

Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists (GPS) is a group of board certified physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists and physician assistants.

We specialize in comprehensive care for the adult/geriatric population of Central Texas by serving patients in multiple settings including Long Term Acute Care Hospitals, Rehabilitation Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Residences, and patient's home. Our providers work in a variety of settings and specialties to provide seamless care from the hospital to the home.

Job Description and Qualifications

Provide in house coverage in a long-term acute care hospital.

· Provide provider admission/rounding services for Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists.

· Maintain full active privileges at the facilities where he/she sees patients for Geriatric Post-Acute Specialists.

· Follow Medicare and state guidelines and Employer policy and procedures when providing services and submitting charges into the EHR for billing of services.

· Complete all required documentation for billing and documentation of services rendered by established deadlines.

· Maintain all professional credentials and certifications.

· Attend all business and clinical meetings coordinated by Employer.

· Effective communication skills

· Function as the primary health provider with facility staff and Attending Physician

· Professional in appearance and manner

· Exhibits an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes

· Ability to build goodwill through interaction with patients, patient families and facilities

· Computer skills/EMR experience

· Comfortable in ICU setting.

· Knowledgeable in coding and billing

Licensures:

· Texas Medical Board License

· Board Certification

· DEA

· ACLS

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Schedule: 7 on/7 off

Standard Shift: Nighttime – 12 Hour Shift
