We are currently seeking dedicated candidates to join our client's maintenance department as a 3rd Shift Machine Cleaning and Sanitation Technician. Position Summary:

• Pay Rate: $21.95/hr
• Location: Goshen, IN
• Schedule: Full-Time, 3rd Shift (9 PM - 5:50 AM, Monday to Friday)
• Overtime: Limited opportunities on weekends as needed

In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for both routine and deep cleaning of machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of machinery, tools, conveyors, tanks, and other related equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment components as required for effective cleaning.
• Safely remove debris, product residues, grease, and other contaminants following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Apply approved cleaning agents and sanitizers in accordance with proper dilution ratios and concentrations.
• Adhere to sanitation schedules, checklists, and cleaning procedures to maintain compliance.
• Accurately complete logs and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Ensure all cleaning activities meet OSHA, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant regulations.
• Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain safe working practices at all times.
• Monitor chemical usage and storage to ensure safety and compliance.
• Conduct post-cleaning inspections of equipment to confirm sanitation and report any damage or irregularities.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including floors, drains, and waste disposal.
• Collaborate closely with machine operators, supervisors, and quality teams to coordinate cleaning schedules.
• Timely report any issues, hazards, or maintenance needs observed during cleaning tasks.
• Participate in ongoing training related to new equipment, chemicals, and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in machine cleaning, sanitation, manufacturing, or food processing is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation processes, and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret and follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and readiness to work in physically demanding (wet) environments.
• Capable of lifting 25-50 lbs, standing for prolonged periods, and working in varying temperature conditions.
