Description:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production floor to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of products. This role involves leading a team of production workers, monitoring workflow, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The Production Supervisor will collaborate with other departments. This position requires strong leadership skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to meet production targets while fostering a positive work environment.
· Communication - Meet with Operations Manager every shift to review production expectations for the day. Communicate with Operations Manager when challenges arise with a potential of noncompletion of orders due to shortage of materials, equipment breakdown, etc. Communicate with the 1st shift supervisor to ensure a smooth transition of shifts.
· Performance Evaluation -Will work with Operations Manager to write an annual performance review on each employee.
· Managing Work- Will assign jobs to team members. Will guide and coach employees and monitor their productivity. Will ensure the shop is kept clean and safe, reporting any maintenance or safety issues or concern.
· Quality- Will maintain Quality Control of assemblies. Will monitor all workstations to ensure quality measures are being kept.
· 2nd shift supervisor will close the shop and turn off necessary equipment to end the day.
· Problem Solving-Will solve routine daily problems. Will be a self-motivator.
· Motivating/Enforcing Rules -Will lead and motivate employees to work together as a team. Will ensure they are following all work and safety protocol. Will monitor production ensuring the goals are met for the shift.
Training - Train new employees. Keep existing employees apprised of changes in procedures, as needed.
